So behind...

Okay so I need to confess something, I totally space out when it comes to blogging. There are some months that I probably post too much and others that I struggle to even think past checking my email and keeping up on other peoples blogs, cause lets face it most people have such interesting lives. Actually we get so busy that certain things fall through the cracks.
This is one of those that fell through the cracks. I have been organizing our computer files and came across this set of photos. Brant, Nick and Shawn are into RC trucks. One good thing about being big ol' kids is that when they go to play they can take the kids with them. Oh my does this work for me - NAP TIME in quiet!!!!

Braden and Kasha.
This is Brant ramping his truck. Our town has put in a DMX course near Conoco. The owner of the track allows the guys to run their toys on it. The guys are quickly figuring out that they need their own course with not so big of jumps !

Our Diesel Weekend...

My husband and I run a diesel truck group for the "heartland" area. We've tried to make the group family friendly and have events, meets that express that. One member through a party this past weekend. He did a great job. Booked a rock-a-billy band cooked out! Sold T-shirts. Had a small "vote" on trucks, gave out plaques. He did as well as you could expect.
Anywho, usually dont post about this stuff, but it is something that takes up alot of our spare time.

Parker Wayne trying to drive.
Here are some of the trucks that showed up to the Diesels in the Heartland event.
Diesels are all about how much smoke they can make. Here is one of the trucks during the burn out competition (spur of the moment competition)
I think around 5-6 tucks did burn outs and this was the aftermath of smoke... it smelt like burnt rubber and/or clutch for the rest of the night.
Entertaining yes, stinky yes, great for the nerves... no.

Ready for Halloween?

So we are so not ready for Halloween - i have some of Braden's costume I think. Heck if I know what he really wants to be. But I must make my mind of up this week. Parker will be a skunk, which is what Braden was his very first Halloween. He will make a cute skunk. I think we are either going to do Braden as a cowboy or Buzz Lightyear. I'm just torn right now. And he could probably care less.
This is a photo we took Thursday night. I need to send out Halloween cards to all the family and finally got around to getting a photo of the boys. This is as good as it gets with these two. Out of 15 shots this was the best. Both were attempting to look at the camera. Of course seconds after this shot Parker was not happy about the death grip "hug" Braden was laying on him.
Anyways - for those that are concerned Braden has had no more poop incidents this week. So I'm hoping we are getting somewhere.
Tomorrow we are headed to Shady Point Oklahoma, Poteau Oklahoma - the tallest hill! Shall be interesting. That part of Oklahoma is very pretty and it will be nice to see the sites. I bet the tree's will be beautiful with all the fall colors!

AAHHHHHH

Heavens, today has been a day. Actually this week has been a week! Oh and we are just on Wednesday! Someone say a prayer for me, wait no say a prayer for the kids.

So I need advice! Braden has been potty training himself. He got this idea on Monday. He had woke up early and decided that he was not wearing a diaper anymore. He refused to put on one and told me he needed to go potty. So he went first thing in the morning and actually went, like seriously went! I was impressed so we got the "cars" underwear back out and he was in Heaven with "Queen" on his tushy. No accidents all day! We even went to a friends house for a while and still no accident. I was so proud of him. Monday's naptime came and I put a diaper on him so that i could close his bedroom door and he would take a nap. I guess I'm going to have to get a baby monitor put in his room so i hear what he is doing up there because when I went upstairs to wake him up he had played in his poop. We are talking he had smear poop on everything.... I was livid... what a step backwards in the whole being a big boy... I put him in the cold shower to clean off while I scrubbed and scrubbed what smelt like a barn. I was actually getting sick to my stomach by the smell. I tried to be calm but this is a battle we've been doing with him over and over. No punishment seems to work.
Tuesday he did okay. He had one accident while we were at the hospital (will explain later) but other than that and naptime he pee'd we did great for the rest of the day. This morning (Wednesday) we awoke and did our business and then went to walmart to get some pull up's and another packaged of underwear cause I think he is pretty close to being ready. He did so good... no accident all morning. We put the pullup on for nap. Again I went up to wake them up and the smell of livestock overwhelmed me. Cold shower again. Told braden that he would be sitting on the couch for the rest of the afternoon with me and there would be no toys. Yes I was over reacting. No it didnt last all afternoon. His beloved grandma called to check on Parker (will explain later) and I told her of the naptime ritual. So grandma asked if he come to her house. To me this is kinda a reward but I was so upset with him and it wasnt right for me to keep him on the couch all evening. So we loaded up and he went to his grandma and might I add that he didnt have any accidents and even went number two (kinda) on the potty. Way to go.
So while he was gone I pine-sol'd everything in his room cause the smell is driving me crazy - I think I'm going to get the bathtub full of bleach and water tomorrow and soak all toys that arent cloth. I opened the windows lit a candle. It smelt better but i'm still smelling something! BOYS. As i was griping to my mother. She informed me it is a Bentley thing. My Father and his twin used to make Poop Art while they were in their cribs. JOY JOY JOY I called and talked to Brant and he said I should of disclosed this before we married.
So here is my plan of action and please someone let me know if they have any suggestions.
1. All toys are now located in the closet. This way I can lock them up if he misbehaves.
2. Cold showers
3. Extensive access to playdough so the "urge" might be taken away *giggle*

So I'm at a lost. I dont know how much longer I can take him making his room smell like a barn!

Okay so Parker. Poor Parker. He had his circumcision Tuesday morning. Poor guy has been kinda miserable. Today I had to take the wrapping and gauze off and oh my stars it ranks as the worse act i've had to do to one of my children. I was tearing up with the pain I was causing. He is a champ though. It was very traumatic but the pain meds are helping. Parker gets to see the doctor on Tuesday.. I'm sure everything is going to be great. But ouch ouch!

Brant will be on his long change (which is when he is off for 7 days) so we have a list of things to get done. We have painting to do. We have stuff to put in storage. We have furniture to move. We have so many things that hopefully I'll have so much information to blog on!
Sorry no photos. I'll try and get some new ones soon. The boys seem to be changing so much lately!

What a Fun Night...

Some might know this but I serve in a church calling where I get to direct and have a blast with our 12-13 year old girls. They are called "Beehives". Anyways this month was our turn to do the activity for all the Young Women 12-18 year olds. Well I decided we would play some games. So we did some pictionary scripture style and then I pulled out a game from my past. One that a family (walkers) taught us when we were young and I swear I played it till the time I graduated.

I've named it TOWER OF FLOUR - for giggles.... anyways... I wanted to share a photo of the results of the game and tell you all that I have another blog that I've been working on
What is cool is that I have two websites that have taken my work that I've done and have linked it for more and more people to use. I'm just tickled pink!

Parkers 15 month Check Up

This photo was from like a month ago! Sorry! It was from the Texas Roadhouse YUM.

Okay so Thursday Parker went in to see Dr. Holden. He grew! Parker is 23 lbs and the lady wrote down 30 inches but I think he is more like 32-33 inches. I will measure him again myself. He has hit all his milestones and is doing well only has like 1 or 2 things left to do before he is 18 months! I think we can do it!
Parker is a hoot of a kid. He is cutting a heck of a lot of teeth at the current moment so he is crying alot but other than that he is such a happy, flirty kid. Amazing that my 10 lb 6 oz baby is so small compared to the growth that his older brother went through. We are almost into 18 month clothes but mostly just still 9-12 or 12. Braden was in 12 month at 6 months and out of them by 9 months! Amazing how two people can create two different kids! Wonder what a third would be like.

Anyways wanted everyone to know that P Wayne is healthy and doing great!

Weekend Update

Yes I've been slacking, what else is new! Isn't it amazing how busy life can get and then you try to document it and you cant think what the heck filled up all your time?

Last weekend we went to OKC to visit Brants parents and to attend the OU vs TCU (blowout) without children! It was enjoyable! Rocked seeing OU kick the pooh out of the other team! We sat by some nice people from Enid which made it more enjoyable because we were next to all the TCU fans! I think the police spent most of their time in our section escorting rowdy TCU fans to the exit.
Wednesday this week our Bishops Family gave us their swing/fort set! Braden has loved getting to play on it ever since. We still have to replace one board to make the tarp on the fort work and fill the sandbox up and get a tarp to cover it so the neighborhood strays don't use it for their own potty.
My husband in all his wisdom decided he would sit on the twirly seat (yes i have no idea what the name is but it was a swing that was connected to just one hook that allowed it to spin around and around) My husband is a big man... it didn't look or sound right when he started.... soon after sitting and spinning his tush met the ground. I guess the nut was not screwed on and it stripped right through. I felt he deserved it ... but I did get a few laughs out of it.
Friday night we had a cook out. The meat market had some Yummy center cut pork chops, so we fired up the grill and invited some friends over.
I didn't have the camera handy that night but Paydon (sarahs son) got to get on the swing, he LOVES it.
Saturday we went to the Oktoberfest, an annual affair for Ponca City. But again there was hardly anything there... nothing I couldn't live without which is just sad. I think I'm gonna start watching for other Oktoberfests so that I can see if the vendors are just standing us up or what!
Saturday night us and a few people went to Mulhall for a nice dinner and a live band (or duo).
Sunday morning arrived with a phone call from Sarah saying she was bringing breakfast over. Conference didn't start till 11 am so we ate breakfast and then the kids went outside to play. THIS time I remembered the camera.
Again we cant express how grateful we are to our ward. The ward members are so nice! There aren't alot of families with kids and even less with small ones so we've been given so many things from these families that their children are growing up. My boys are in heaven and so are their friends.
Braden, Kasha and Paydon - all enjoying a swing.
Paydon adores the swing (and yes they had infant swings that are the cutest bears! so cute)
Braden in his Fort - or when Kasha has been around it turns into a Barbie House.
Braden on the slide - yes he decided what he was going to wear today. Tshirt, Shorts and cowboy Boots.
Kasha Bear sliding!
Paydon getting a good push by his sister Kasha. He would just giggle and giggle. He LOVES the swing - Daddy I think someone needs a swing!!!
Parker giving me the "What you looking at" look. He isn't brave enough for the slide but he loves the fort.
After the Smiths left Braden was sad. So I called his Grandma up and had her come pick him up. You will never believe what my lil Parker Wayne did when they were gone. He helped me with laundry, picked up clothes that I asked him to put up.. and then... he squatted in the kitchen, I looked at him and said do you need to poop and he took off running to the bathroom. He wanted on the big potty (yes we have been working with his brother but not him) I took his diaper off and saw he had started, so i took what he had and then put him on the lil potty... he FINISHED... he was so proud of himself and the music played on the potty. Of course he didn't think he needed underwear but momma didn't really want to play that game today cause well he has never shown signs of when he needs to pee... So I'm thinking Brant has the weekend off and instead of one to work with I think we will be working with two. Maybe the competition will be good for Braden.
Sorry this is a long post. I will try and be better and post more often so that you don't have to read a book each time.
