Easter 2008

I hope everyone had a beautiful Easter. We had one. Braden and Parker woke up around 8 and found that the Easter Bunny had left them some goodies. They were good enough to keep them entertained while Mommy got ready for church. We spent the majority of the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa Bentley, the Easter Bunny had left more stuff for them there!

Today was even rather pretty, alittle brisk, but it was so pretty! We are all feeling better in the house, our tummy's are still alittle upset but I think we are on the downhill road.

I thought the boys looked rather handsome in their matchy matchy outfits. Braden is looking more and more like a little adult. I took this photo just before church. He insisted on taking his Easter card that he got from Nana and Papa Garrison. Doesnt he just make you melt.

I dont usually share my faith with people but I do feel as this Easter day closes I want each of those that take the time to read my blog/email that I am so THANKFUL for the sacrifice my Savior Jesus Christ made as he gave his life for me. I am very grateful for the many blessings that I have; my adorable, healthy kids, my marriage to a wonderful man, the chance to stay home with my boys as they grow up. I am so thankful for my church calling, I love getting to interact with the Young Women, they are wonderful examples to me, their faith and conviction to follow the Lords path motivates me to keep pushing along, trying to overcome those things that I need to work on. I'm so grateful that I have the ability to repent and keep trying.

Thank you to all of you, each of you touch and strengthen my life in many ways, most ways you're probably not even aware of.

Spring Banner

As I sit here now as sick as my boys were last night - I've been trying to do something to make me feel half way better - so New Banner Time.

Mom's/Grandmom's Rock

Yes check out the time stamp - it is 5 30 in the morning - we've been up since 2 30 ish, wait let me rephrase that - The boys have been up since 2:30 - I on the other hand have not been to sleep. Just as I crawled into bed braden came in, no sooner as he had laid his head down and I thought hey I'll get some sleep - he began to gag.... He was throwing up - so I proceeded to get up to help him and start cleaning it up - and the sweetie threw up in my face - his stomach is beyond sour - it is the worst smell I've ever smelt. He's had sour diapers the past two days and I havent felt well. Parker seems to be okay - he only had one day of it. Who knows what is going on but I know this much.... Momma needs sleep.

Just wanted to say Thanks to my mom - I called her at 2 am cause I didnt know what you could give a 2 year old for upset tummies. I didnt have any pop here at the house - and brant has the axle off the car - and he was at work with the truck so I couldnt leave if i wanted too - she got out and left a two litter on my back porch. How lucky am I?

Brant should be home here shortly - I'm hoping Braden will go sleep with him and Parker is fussy which means he needs to go to bed! I might get some sleep! Not enough but any at this point will help.

Spring/Kid Challenge

So the last page I'm going to do tonight - Challenge was issued to use spring stuff and a photo of a child.

I was going to do one of both the boys but this computer didnt have the right photos on it ...

Tonight I was preparing for a class I am going to teach at Enrichment and thought I need to do a new layout - plus I wanted to play with the laptop - it has vista on it and I plan on using it for my presentation. I didnt want to look to stupid not knowing where things are - cause it is alot different than XP.

Our Project

So today we rented the sander to start refinishing the floors! (Thursday March 21st) I'm so excited. This step and then the stain and sealing will then allow us to start moving everyone upstairs ... can I just express how wonderful this will be for us. My entry way wont look like a closet. We wont have toys EVERYWHERE downstairs, we wont have laundry spread everywhere, we wont have a ton of furniture everywhere! Just thinking about this move makes me calm!

We will take some photos today - not sure what all will get done. hopefully all the sanding will be done today!

After sanding - now we just have to tack clothe it and we are debating if we will actually stain it or just do a warm glow top coat. the wood is beautiful as is.

Im so excited - maybe this weekend we can get everything done - I'm sure I'll have to enlist my parents if we want it done by then. If not surely by next weekend. YEAH.


Oh in other news - Braden finally went pee in the toilet - he was very proud of himself! We will be attempting a book called "Potty training in one day" - it sounds doable. We will do this here when we are upstairs. I really think he is ready! Cant wait not to change that childs diapers!


Brants birthday is approaching! (Tomorrow) Poor thing has to work on his birthday - I'm currently trying to think of something we can do prior to him going in Saturday! I'm sure I'll think of something.

Easter is this weekend and I have slacked and have failed to get things ready - so I will be rushing out tomorrow morning to look for stuff!

What a day!

So Monday I got a present - a new monitor - its a 22 inch flat screen high definition. It is awesome. It will help with my webdesign and scrapbooking. It rocks. So... onto how my day went.... Braden is causing issues in the house during the night. For some reason he sleeps for about 3 hours at a time and then gets up. He usually proceeds to get out of the crib and whine and cry at us to let him get in bed with us. We have been trying to make him go back which starts a screaming fit from both parties. This morning it started at 1 am - and basically by 4:30 we were up. We took Brant to work and then came home. Parker and I took a two hour nap but not Braden... then... a knock on the door
Brant got his present in the mail. A new laptop - we have had a dell laptop for 6 years and it just wasnt keeping up with us. So I was kinda excited getting to open it up... I booted the computer up and yeah I turned green with envy! It is sweet. But as soon as windows was up, it froze... so I got to battle a silly computer issue, cranky tired kids, we got out of the house for lunch, we met up with a few mommies to have a great lunch and let the kids get alot of energy out. When I came home Braden finally went down for a nap, parker was still cranky and i still had a brand new computer that wasnt working right.

We picked daddy up from work and we had dinner and messed with the computer, its working pretty good right now. Just waiting for it to mess up again. AHHHHH what a pain... Here are some hammy photos of Parker. He has started cruising the furniture.






Here is a photo of Braden - we were keeping him awake. So that maybe! JUST maybe he will sleep tonight. Look how dirty the child was! We converted Bradens crib to toddler today so maybe being a big boy will keep him happy and in his own bed. I'll report on the progress but this will be nipped in the bud quickly.

The day ended with a MUCH needed bath!


What a day - Im ready for it to be over! I'm catching up on some shows we DVR and then it is bedtime - ya never know what time your day will start with these two!

Daddy's Day

So Saturday I had stake meetings, which if any of you know means I'll be gone all day. So Daddy got to watch the boys while I was in Guthrie. (for any of you oldies that are confussed - our stake has expanded =-) and our stillwater stake center has been rebuilt and is almost finished)

Daddy decided Parker was just hillarious and took a few videos of them... One of him eating/clapping and one of him rolling around on the couch.

Parker has started this slapping thing - it usually catches me off gaurd and my glasses go flying or the food goes splat on the floor -

I think parker is going to be my comedy relief - he seems to be a major baby ham - and I think some of his humor will probably get him into trouble... oh the things I get to look forward too.

He also decided to let Braden hold parker... which is always an adventure which you can see by the faces both of them make.

Hope everyone is well - we had a touch of spring weather today and it felt SO good. I'm ready for spring. My church calling will have me rather busy for the next few months so forgive me if I start to slack! I think I'm going to give Brant some pointers on how to post - cause he was going to post this up on Saturday but didnt know how.
