Day 1 Summer Vacation

Wednesday July 1st our vacation started without any sleep Tuesday night. Okay maybe an hour or two scattered throughout the night. We needed to be up and on the road by 6 am to make it all the way to Elk City Oklahoma for a funeral. Brant's cousin, Lindsey, died at the age of 24, she was born with serious health issues and lived her entire life in an assisted living facility. I had never met her, Brant remembered her, and felt that we should be there for his uncle. We took the opportunity to take a four generation photo. Gary (Brant's dad), Gerald (Brant's grandfather), Brant and our two boys Braden and Parker.

We then went to lunch with the Garrison Klan at Lupe's in Elk City, decent little joint. We then headed back to Oklahoma City where we had dropped the boat off and loaded everything back up and headed to Eufalla --- So lets count the hours of driving in one day -- Ponca to Elk - 3 hours ---- Elk to Eufalla 3 hours total 6 hours! The boys were rather done with it. I was pretty done with it. I did try one of those 5 hour energy shot drinks. THEY WORK lol, and they don't make you feel sick like the energy drinks!These two photos are after we got to the trailer and the boys could expel some energy!
