Round of Applause

Round of Applause for my husband please. The Floors are DONE! Yeah! YEAH! YEAH! - so now we just have to do the trim work - but we will be moving everyone up stairs next week - OH WHAT A BLESSING -

Looks like I'll be busy decorating soon - that sounds so fun - I've never really got to do anything for my boys this whole time!
Okay so here is my list
  1. Paint White Navy White stripe around the boys room
  2. Paint out dresser and night stand and bunk beds (we are picking up memorial day weekend)
  3. Get hangers - the boys clothes have never been hung up
  4. Find a Shade for the boys room with a curtain.
  5. Ceiling fan for their room

I'll do their room first before working on mine - other than putting shades on the windows lol cause our neighbors have a birds eye view to everything in there!

Apron Swap

I think this is going to be a fun thing to do as a ward. I'll keep you all updated on how this goes. I've emailed our Ladies in the ward and our Laurels (16-18 yr old girls) to see who wants to participate. Wish us luck!

Mothers Day and...

So I had a great mothers day weekend. I was treated to Red Lobster and Iron Man (the movie) on Friday night. It was nice to get out without the little ones (thanks nana and papa G). Saturday we attended my youngest Brother in Laws college graduation, then spent the day with family and his friends that were stopping in. We all played in the pool. It was Parker's first time in the swimming pool and he loved it. Braden loves the water but is scared about going under... we didnt have a life jacket for him and the only place in the pool he could be without us was the steps. I need to check with conoco about their swimming lessons.
We got both of our mothers some flowers, both enjoy flowers and they suffer like I do, rarely do we actually get them! So I got myself some too! Didnt I do a good job.
My mother got me this figurine. How sweet is that.
I have to say my highlight of my mothers day was; I laid down for a nap after we got done visiting everyone, as I came out of the bedroom Braden rushed to me and I thought I heard "mommy stay" I was like sure I'm gonna stay... and he kept saying it over and over... I walked in and brant said no Braden Happy.... and Braden said it again but it was "Mommy's Day". That made the whole day!
So today I decided to call and get my eyes checked and get contacts before summer rolls around. As I was on the phone I noticed the boys had been quiet but I really needed to stay on the phone. I dont let the boys play in the kitchen and that is where they were... but I figured they had found something to do.... low and behold when i got off the phone I found this.
Parker
Braden and Parker
Braden and Parker - Yeah notice the handprints on the fridge too... AHHHHHHHHHH
Yes they got ahold of the flour.. a whole small sack of bakers flour..... I guess it was alot of fun. As I walked in Braden was pouring it on Parkers head. I think Parker got the blunt of it.
I called Brant and calmly asked where is the camera. He said I dont know. I said I would like to take a picture of the kids before I kill them. Of course he thought it sounded funny over the phone. Hope he enjoys these photos too! Its almost nap time for the two rug rats and they are just going to have to be all dusty.... cause I am in no mood for baths right now!
I do hope everyone had an enjoyable mothers day. Hopefully it was a day of love and rest!

An evening at the Park

WASSSSSSSSSSUP we had fun at the park tonight .

Tonight to get out and enjoy the fresh air we decided to walk down to the park and let the boys have some fun. Parker loves Sands. Cant wait to clean it off his tushy tomorrow!

Parker thought being at the slide meant he was a big boy. He was proud of himself.

Except when daddy made me go down the slide I wasn't so sure about it.

After I had laid there for a while I was okay.

Braden loves trains - I think the park needs to repaint the poor thing.

Yes that is my little stud muffin - he has been enjoying walking like this... I've noticed that he is getting more brave and venturing out during the day without being asked to walk.

Yes this looks like a disaster waiting to happen. I remember telling Brant - please go over there and help him - he proceeded to tell me that was about as far as the boy could go and he would figure it out. Needless to say by the time the camera was done with the shot he was on the floor. Not hurt.

SO I guess Parker is lacking fiber. This child loves himself some sticks.

I just love this photo - Braden is getting to be such a big boy... He has no fear when he is with his father.

When we got to the park Braden got onto the rabbit - before I could get the camera out he was off... but I made him get back on... LOVE this scrunchy smile he has.... if you cant see it... click on the photo - cause that smile is worth a million.

This is Parkers new thing. Yes from his position he can stand up on his own. Plus this position seems to be his favorite while playing.

Daddy kept covering up his foot .... it was very amusing.

At the house I use anything with wheels to help me walk. This thing wouldn't go very well in the Sand.

We had a fun evening. Brant has indicated that he would like a grill - which is a shocker for me cause I vividly remember him during our first year, griping about cooking outside. So I told him that sounds like a good fathers day gift. So guess he knows what he will be getting and the boy better use it and use it well! I love grilled food! So anyone want to recommend one?
Anyways the boys didn't get to bed on time so that better mean they give me a few more minutes of sleep tonight. Here's to dreaming I know.
